We love to spend time on our porch appreciating the beauty of our little corner of the earth. It's not much, but to us it is a haven from the craziness of the world. We work hard to make our home and yard feel that way for us and for our family.
Last December I was carefully carrying some of our tree ornaments that had been clear coated. I was trying to keep them somewhat separated so they wouldn't stick together. However, as I walked with them, hanging from hooks, they gently tapped against each other. The sound was so pleasing that I knew immediately I wanted to make a wind chime. I filed that thought in the back of my mind until spring.
Going with the same shape of the tree ornaments, and attaching them to one of our beloved stars, the wind chime was born and has now become a permanent resident on our porch. It's calming influence welcomes us each time we take a break and welcomes any visitors who happen to stop by. From our porch to yours, we hope you enjoy this wind chime!
